Bio

Anne Richardson is an experienced nonprofit and investment professional with a proven track record of driving organizational growth. As Executive Director of the Virginia Episcopal Investment Funds, Anne is responsible for the organization’s overall leadership, operational excellence, and strategic advancement. Working in close partnership with the Board of Trustees, investment advisors, and diocesan leadership, she ensures VEIF operates with integrity, discipline, and a clear focus on both financial performance and mission alignment.

Prior to joining VEIF in August 2026, Anne was a Managing Director in the Endowment Management Program at the Episcopal Church Foundation, where she shared her deep understanding of endowment management principles to help organizations clarify the meaning of their financial resources and identify the right strategy for their endowment and long-term assets. During her tenure, assets under management in the program more than doubled.

From 2020 to 2022, Anne was the Director of Development at Christ Church Alexandria, with responsibility for the annual giving campaign, the public portion of a capital campaign, and an initiative to support the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, she drove the creation of an investment committee to oversee a mission-focused endowment gift to the church, drafting the committee charter and investment policy statement for approval by the Vestry.

Anne’s investment industry experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer for Calvert Research & Management, where she led initiatives to strengthen the firm’s responsible investment solutions. She previously held several leadership roles in her more than ten years at institutional investment advisor Cambridge Associates LLC, including as Chief Operating Officer for Global Investment Research and Managing Director for Capital Markets Research.

Anne holds a graduate degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and an undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Currently residing in Northern Virginia, she remains actively involved in her local parish.
